About The ProgramLangara College Self-Employment Program offers a dynamic, interactive seven week program of business development targeted to business startup. Information sessions will be held at the Alderbridge Place, Unit 116 - 4940 No. 3 Road, Richmond (at the intersection of No. 3 Road and Alderbridge Way). Check the calendar for dates and times. How Does The Program Work?Training is customized to each individual business and includes computerized financial planning. Follow-up and support is provided throughout the year with peer support, one-on-one business consultations, networking sessions, group training and access to office equipment. An advisory board which is made of members of the community and business organizations provides direction and hands-on support. Entrepreneurs from our program have received local media attention. The Training ProgramOver three hundred and forty new businesses have been launched since the program began in 1995, contributing $4.5 million to the economy every year. We serve clients mostly from Richmond, Surrey, Delta, and Vancouver. Application and Selection Process
